Template of an In Person Course

Introduction to Biblical Counseling will lay the theological foundation for a reformed understanding of counseling, establish a careful biblical process for counseling, and examine several practical life “issues” in light of the given 
foundation and process for counseling. Initial opportunities for practical application will be provided in the form of case studies and video observations. The assigned readings will cover 1) Theological Foundations for a Reformed understanding counseling, 2) a probing examination of “anger”, 3) conflict resolution as an essential element of the pastoral ministry, and 4) the essential role of the church in any effective counseling ministry.
